Walking the Beach!

No vacation to the beach would be complete without pictures of a walk on the beach! After dinner our second night at Myrtle Beach we went for a walk, the kids (and me too!) had a great time looking for treasure, and letting the waves hit their legs. I enjoyed taking pictures of them and just being together as a family. The 2 yr old found a sand hill to climb! Look how proud he was.
Our 8 yr old liked splashing in the water
The 6 and 2 yr old chased each other through the water.
Birds flying over head. Everything was so beautiful.
The 4 yr old running in all the water he could find.
A shot of our 2 yr old's foot prints in the sand. So sweet!
The perfect end to such a wonderful day!

Our 1st Vacation!

The family and I were able to go on our first family vacation this year! We went to North Myrtle Beach! It was so much fun, and we can't wait to go again someday! The kids had so much fun on the beach, in fact they wanted to go all day, everyday. We did a lot of fun things and so now begins my blog of our trip! Hope you enjoy!
The first day we were there we went to a little, out of the way, non-known park. It had a little playground and a pier. The pier was the main attraction really because it had a lot of little crabs all over in the mud. The kids were totally thrilled by all of this! We also saw a bunch of white birds (I think they were herons or something). They apparently eat the crabs. The boys had high hopes of catching the crabs, but they were a little harder to catch than anticipated!
It was a great way to start the trip, and a nice way to relax after being in the car for over 13 hours!

Wildlife

Around our house at different times during the day we spot all kinds of wildlife! It is fun and very amusing to spot the different critters out and about.

We had another visit from a butterfly, this one was smaller and blue and black. The butterfly was so pretty, and it stopped by almost all of the flowers we planted. I greatly love butterflies because they seem so magical!
The other visitor we had was a very curious, little squirrel! He came right up to our front porch, and he hung around long enough for me to take a few pictures!

Baby Update!

Our littlest man has learned to pull himself up to stand! He sure is learning to get around so well. I don't know if he is picking things up so quickly because he has older brothers to keep up with, but it seems everyday he has learned something new! He has learned to crawl, sit, pullup, and he will stand alone for a couple seconds! I am proud of his development but also a little sad because he is still my little baby. That's just the way things go though, so... it will be great!
So proud of himself!

Scout Camp

A few weeks ago our oldest had the chance to go to Scout Camp. He had a a lot of fun making things, hiking, shooting a BB gun and a bow and arrow. He made friends and had good experiences. The week was also spent with a friend of his from church which made things even more fun!

The oldest and his friend with the Belzer Beast from camp Belzer!

Shooting a BB gun. He did really well!
Making a treasure box for all the things he made and souvenirs he collected.

Touch A Truck...or two!

Every year one of our local parks has a truck show. The kids can climb in and out of a variety of trucks! This year our oldest wasn't able to go because he was at Scout Camp, so I took the rest of boys. The weather was perfect, and it was a little cloudy which made it not too hot.

The boys had so much fun going through all the trucks. There was a fire truck, police vehicles, a school bus, a limo, and an ice cream truck (which gave all of us free ice cream!). I'm sure we will return again next year!
The boys loved looking at the fire truck!
A police robot.
There was a book mobile, each boy took home a free book!
The SWAT Team truck.
Our 4 year old had a helping hand from an Army man!
