Out to dinner...

While we were staying at Myrtle Beach we visited an all you can eat crab shack! The kids and especially me l o v e d it! I really liked stuffing myself with seafood. The kids really like crab legs (which they totally get from me!), so I spent a good portion of my dinner cracking the legs open. It was such a great time and I wish there was a place like that closer to home. Before we entered the restaurant a lady at the door took our picture with the giant crab. Fittingly enough the name of the place was... The Giant Crab!

The lovely young lady in the picture was a babysitter that traveled with us. She was such a great help.

The beauty life holds...

It was so nice to get away and just spend time together without having to worry about things for a week! I think it was a much needed vacation to reset and relax. I most enjoyed having time with my family without so many of life's daily distractions.

A Day at the Beach

During one of the nicest days we had while at Myrtle Beach we decided to spend the whole day relaxing on the beach. The weather was beautiful and sunny! The kids splashed in the waves, buried their feet in the sand, made sand castles, and had a great time! I liked soaking up all the vitamin D.
The oldest looking cool and trying out his skills on a body board.
The sweet 2 year old playing in the sand!
Our six year old splashing in the waves.
The baby taking in everything!
Our smiling 4 year old burying his feet in the sand.

Hiking and More at Myrtle Beach

During our third day at Myrtle Beach we went hiking, out on a pier and played putt-putt golf! It was a fun filled, busy day! The boys liked hiking in South Carolina, we all thought it was a little different than the hikes we take in Indiana. We found so many spiders and creepy looking bugs! The oldest almost put his hand right on a huge wolf spider! Pretty interesting seeing and doing new things, like climbing trees! After our adventures on the hiking trails we went out on the pier at the park we were visiting. I had never been on a pier before! It was fun and we all liked looking out on the ocean and just experiencing something new! There was a lot of people fishing, unfortunately we didn't see anyone catch fish though. The last thing we did that day was go play putt-putt golf. It was a first for the boys and they had a blast, and it definitely helped me build up some patience! The course was fun, the boys liked playing in the skull cave! The theme of the putt-putt course was Peter Pan!

It was a fun day, and nobody had problems sleeping that night!

More Myrtle Beach!

One of the other fun things we did while on vacation was go to the Ripley Aquarium. It was nice, not as big as I thought it was gong to be though. The boys had a good time, and the hubby and I liked looking at the different fish they had on display. My favorite part was the moving walk-way that went under the shark tank. The sharks and other fish were swimming right over us!
The kids were excited to see piranhas, and they were able to touch horseshoe crabs! They also were allowed to touch a sting ray! It didn't sting but it was really slimy!
The kids also let me take a picture of the aquariums mascot, a shark. All in all it was a great time and a wonderful memory we will treasure for a long time.
