Honey For Sale

My dear husband got into bee keeping a few years back and has been a huge blessing for our family. I never really ate honey as a child, but I love having fresh honey right from the hive. It has been great! Last year we had a pretty good harvest, and this year has been even better! We harvested about a hundred pounds of honey this year! We look forward to having more in a couple weeks due to the fact that we unfortunately lost 2 of our beehives because of inclement weather. We still have four solid hives that should survive through the rest of the season.
I am so grateful for my husband getting into bee keeping, it has turned into a wonderful blessing.
We do have some honey for sale if anyone is interested feel free to let me know!

Ice, ice everywhere

I know everyone is talking about it in the Midwest (and most of the country for that matter), but we did have a major ice storm that luckily didn't cause lasting damage. The boys had fun playing out in the ice (crazy boys) and trying to ice skate. It was funny watching them slide around on the ice and trying to break the ground with their feet! It sure makes life a lot more interesting (and fun) with kids!

Here are some shots of the beauty the ice left behind.

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow

I really enjoy the snow that comes with winter time. I don't like the cold, or the blandness of the season; but I do like the snow! It is so pure and beautiful, I would much rather have snow than have rain any day. The boys and I went and played out in the last major snow that visited our town. It was so much fun. We made a gigantic snow man, and had a snowball fight, then we enjoyed hot chocolate after wards! It was a great and a ton of fun. Here are a few pictures of the great time we had together as a family, well minus one baby that was taking a much needed nap.
